His Holiness appreciates the intention of the Institute for Research in Christianity and Contemporary Thought to present the Christian understanding of reality to the international intellectual community in an effective manner. He wishes me to express recognition of the benefits of such an endeavor when undertaken in a spirit of true and critical scholarship, and in willingness to proclaim and to serve the truth of the Christian message.
