Dr. Rae Mellichamp

The Christian Professor in the Secular University

This seminar targets Christian professors in secular universities. It can be packaged as a four-hour workshop or as two one-hour talks. Topics include:

- A Person of Excellence. Ministry always begins at the individual level. CLM's desire is to assist you in becoming a person of excellence in your relationship to God, in your familoy relationships, in your church fellowship, and in your professional life. The major outcome of this seminar is a Personal Mission Statement.

- Ministering Individually. For any professor who is a Christian, the university should be a primary place of ministry - he or she should be vitally interested in reaching out to colleagues and students. This seminar presents a number of strategies for outreach that are appropriate, attractive and effective.

- Ministering with Others on the Campus. A natural and necessary outgrowth of individual ministry is a desire to join with others of like mind to seek ways of corporately impacting the campus for Christ. Various proven strategies and materials for corporate ministry to students and colleages are presented. A major outcome of this seminary is a tentative campus plan.

- Ministering with Others Nationally and Internationally. Many professors have national and international contacts and opportunities to travel that can serve as a basis for ministry. CLM offers a variety of strategies for converting travel and contacts into rich ministry experiences.
